Doctor Who, episode 6.4

28.7.16

The Doctor's Wife is one of my all time favourite episodes of anything ever.

There's this bit that sticks out.

When Amy and Rory are running, and a thing happens, then Rory says "It's messing with our heads."

We never see what happened to him; we can only wonder.

Station Eleven, chapter 55

29.6.15

I've read a lot of apocalyptic stories, watched the world end in so many ways, but this is my new favourite. Jumping time and character has become bit of a trend, but Mandel did it so effortlessly it seemed only natural. I could have read this book for much longer.

Begin Again (2013)

4.6.15

I loved this. I inexplicably loved this. Creative people creating art (music, writing, actual art) for the love of it. It's how it should be done and how the best stuff is done and it's what I want to do. I loved the writing of it too.

Make good art.

White Collar, episode 2.2

4.5.11

Peter Burke: " 'All of your quotes are getting on my nerves,' Peter Burke."

Saying Peter is one of my favourite characters wouldn't mean a whole lot as there are dozens. But he's one of my favourite favouritesof which there are fewer.

Doctor Who, episode 4.7

5.2.11

Why are you so good, Agatha Christie?

Because you understand.
You've lived.
You've fought, you've had your heart broken.

You know about people, their passions, their hope and despair and anger—all of those, tiny huge things that can turn the most ordinary person into a killer.

Sanctuary, episode 3.6

24.11.10

This is easily my favourite episode so far, by far. Brilliant banter, captivating characters, effective effects, relevant references, superb stories, wonderful one-liners... A beautiful balance of humour and horror, silly and serious; and the two tales so teasingly twined.

It’s made me positively poetic (well, awfully alliterative).
